The finalists for the Make it in Great Britain challenge have now been chosen. This was a nationwide competition to seek out the UK’s next big pre-market products, processes and concepts. The finalists will get to showcase their products at the Make it in Great Britain exhibition which starts next Tuesday (24th July) at the Science Museum in Kensington.
Some pretty inspiring designs in the “Make it…Breakthrough” category for 16-21-year-olds, including a device to give a greater field of vision to paralysed or injured servicemen, a new kitchen fire detection system and device that allows recovering amputees and critical care patients to take part in bed-based exercise to aid rehabilitation.
